5 Offensive Players to Watch at the NFL Combine This Week
These 5 offensive NFL Draft Prospects could make a big splash at the NFL Combine this week!
Last week we began talking about some defensive players to watch for the NFL Combine that is taking place later this week and now it’s time to look at some offensive prospects to keep your eyes on. The 2024 NFL Combine schedule was released last week so we now have an understanding of what to look for.
The biggest news is that night time workouts are done!!! That’s a cause for celebration all around as testing on for each day starts no later than 3:00PM EST. Secondly it’s worth noting that while players have currently arrived, reported, and began interviews, no workouts or measurements will begin until Thursday when the defensive linemen and linebackers take to the stage.
Formalities out of the way, it’s time to get amped up for some more prospects to keep your eyes on at the NFL Combine. As mentioned, we talked defenders last week - you can find that here - but now it’s time to dive in on some offensive players. As always, the wide receivers will be must see viewing on Saturday - and we’ll talk about some wide receivers - but there are plenty of other prospects worth keeping an eye on… let’s take a gander.
5 Offensive Players to Watch at the NFL Combine
Xavier Worthy | WR | Texas
Kicking off this list with another Texas Longhorn just like we did the defenders. Xavier Worthy recorded the fastest speed in miles per hour this year in college football at 22.7mph. He is set to put on an absolute show in the forty yard dash and while he’s expected to be fast, seeing a highly productive wide receiver test the 4.2s always moves the needle.
Another big part of the NFL Combine for Worthy will be the on field drills. Not to show off his route running ability but rather his catching. Drops are something that have popped up on his film frequently despite also showing great ball tracking and overall ball skills. A great showing during the positional drills and a strong forty time could help vault his name into the second tier of wide receivers.
