The Kansas City Chiefs are, once again, Super Bowl champions!!! In a thrilling overtime victory over the San Francisco 49ers, Andy Reid dialed up a play called “Tom and Jerry”, a variation on last years “Corndog” play that netted us two wide open touchdowns vs the Eagles. Mecole Hardman faked a jet sweep motion, then turned back toward the right sideline, coming wide open as Patrick Mahomes rolled right.
The throw. The catch. World Champions once again.
The Patrick Mahomes era has brought us three Lombardi’s in the past 5 years. This year, they repeated as champions, the first team to do so since Tom Brady and the Patriots did it in 2002 and 2003, exactly 20 years ago. GOAT matching GOAT, 20 years later. What a time it is to be a Chiefs fan!
