Plus KCSN draft guide, latest podcasts, highlights and more Chiefs news.
Welcome back to the latest issue of KCSN Daily, where we deliver the best Kansas City Chiefs content to your inbox.
Draft-eligible players from across the region will soon flock to 1 Arrowhead Drive for the team’s local prospect day. Prospects who lived or played in Kansas or Missouri will have an opportunity to compete in testing and on-field workouts at the Chiefs’ facilities with the goal of making an impression on the team’s scouts or coaching staff.
The team hasn’t been as forthcoming about their local prospect day in recent years, so we might not get a full list of players in attendance, but here are some of the prospects set to attend this year’s event:
Missouri S Martez Manuel
Washburn WR James Letcher Jr.
Washburn WR Peter Afful Jr.
Kansas State CB Ekow Boye-Doe
BYU DL Earl Tuioti Mariner
Southwestern Oklahoma State WR Isreal Watson
You can find out more about several of these prospects over on Chiefs Wire.
Many of these local players will go on to become priority free agents following the 2023 NFL draft. The Chiefs have previously signed players such as Northwest Missouri State RB Josh Caldwell and Kansas State OG Abdul Beecham as undrafted free agents following workouts at their local pro day.
