Welcome back to the latest issue of KCSN Daily, where we deliver the best Kansas City Chiefs content to your inbox.
The Chiefs will soon begin Phase 3 of the offseason workout program with Organized Team Activities (OTAs) kicking off on Monday, May 22. This will last for the next four weeks, with three voluntary OTA sessions and one mandatory minicamp practice. The players still won’t be wearing pads and there is no contact during these practices, however, 7-on-7, 9-on-7, and 11-on-11 drills are permitted by the NFL.
This part of offseason workouts typically helps build the foundation for on-field work, which will continue through July and August and into the season. It’s also an opportunity for the coaching staff and evaluators to get a first look at the newest members of the team. They can then figure out the position groups where the team might be lacking depth and in need of additions come training camp.

Craig Stout and Matt Lane give their thoughts on the rest of the AFC's offseasons and discuss whether or not they have done enough to dethrone the Kansas City Chiefs as top dogs in the conference.
Ask KCSN Discord:
In Friday’s KCSN Daily for the remainder of the offseason, I’ll be asking the KCSN Discord server to weigh in on the latest hot topics surrounding the Chiefs. This week’s question: Which member of the Chiefs' coaching staff (excluding Andy Reid, Matt Nagy and Spags) will be most vital to team success in 2023?
Rick Burkholder. Health is something we have had a great track record of, and I think preventative treatment and training go a long way towards that. - Mike Denney
(Joe) Cullen? I know the easy answer is (Dave) Toub but to me it’s a lot of young edges and DTs so Cullen. - Chris R
Connor Embree. Need to get some development out of these wideouts. - JulianK 10/10 with Rice
Andy Heck with the new OTs. - TankTheeFrank
