There were no injuries on Saturday night, per Andy Reid.
And let’s be honest - that’s the biggest thing that matters when talking about the preseason as it relates to the defending Super Bowl champions. But the Kansas City Chiefs did beat the Arizona Cardinals 38-10 Saturday night in Arizona to conclude the second of three preseason games for both teams.
For those wanting to see more success than we did a week ago in the first preseason game - you’re going to be happier after this one. The offense was much better and the defense had some moments, while some players are beginning to emerge on the defensive side of the ball.
Overall, this was a good step for Chiefs as many of the players now begin to prepare for their Week 1 game against the Detroit Lions on September 7 at Arrowhead Stadium. Others will continue to fight for the last few roster spots on the Chiefs’ final 53-man roster, and the rest will be auditioning for the other 31 teams across the league heading into the final preseason game next Saturday against the Browns.
