I wanted to post some concepts of the Chiefs offensive troubles... I think just a mindset. Mahomes has not really had a great offensive line... he is prone to bail and bail to his right... once the DE gets behind him he bails right and then up middle.. RARELY takes first pass option unless legit RPO;;;;;;;;;;;;;; Then, once he bails... looks to do 2 things.. make the "miracle connection" or run...His receivers have "patrick rules instead of football rules." Football rules dictate you help the QB and come back to him on passes and get to the sticks... Our guys just bail deep and round off angles since Mahomes can out throw a poor pattern. Why was this successful? Defenses rush 5 or 6 guys and when Mahomes cleared.... it was 5 on 6 or 5 on 5 receivers with 1 safety trying to "trick" him.

He is way to smart for that...

Fast forward 3 years.... better line. He could just relax a little and hit that first quick option... or calmly go to number 2... then bail.

Problem: since they only rush 3 or 4 , he is getting spied more... and it is 5 on 7 or 5 on 8 with a lid on top....

When Mahomes bails.... nobody is open...because they know him and are bailing deep.... oops... right into interception land...

Easy to fix... when bailing... look to survive like everyone else does and guys will be super open for first downs.

Run the ball til they bring up the safeties... Gore in the deep set knows how to set blockers with the jab step and the back step... patience waiting for the blocks and making his cut decision 5 feet behind the linemen instead of 2 feet.

Add some power OT..... Smith and Niangg pulling can set up nicely... safeties have to play up
