Combine Risers and Fallers

The free agency craze is over. The Chiefs did not do a great deal. We brought in TE Irv Smith and WR Hollywood Brown. We traded CB L’Jarius Sneed. We re-signed Drue Tranquill. Other than that, we stayed largely out of it. I’m sure we’ll pick up a handful of other free agents later on down the road, but most of the exciting names are gone at this point.

That means I am finally free to go back to the NFL Combine!! You may recall about 4 weeks ago I wrote an article about the NFL Combine, and what of the measurements and testing actually matters for NFL players. What tests are more highly correlated to on-field production, and what tests are generally safe to ignore. I covered the offense in that article. This week, I’ll focus on the defense, and also on some players who saw significant changes in their expected draft position based on the combine.
