Latest on Chiefs' top-30 visits | KCSN Daily 4.12
Plus a new KCSN podcast miniseries, NFL draft breakdowns and more Chiefs news.
Welcome back to the latest issue of KCSN Daily, where we deliver the best Kansas City Chiefs content to your inbox.
The Chiefs have just seven more days to complete their 30 allotted pre-draft visits with 2023 NFL draft-eligible prospects. When we first updated you on visits at the end of March, Kansas City had only reportedly hosted six prospects. I’ve been keeping track over at Chiefs Wire and we now know of more than half the prospects who’ve visited the team at their facilities.
Here’s the latest tally of prospects:
Oregon EDGE DJ Johnson
Maryland OT Jaelyn Duncan
Louisiana State OL Anthony Bradford
Oklahoma OT Anton Harrison
Harvard EDGE Truman Jones
Toledo DL Desjuan Johnson
Tennessee LB Jeremy Banks
Appalachian State OT Cooper Hodges
Western Kentucky CB Kahlef Hailassie
Texas Christian WR Quentin Johnston
Southern Methodist WR Rashee Rice
South Carolina CB Cam Smith
Tennessee OT Darnell Wright
New Mexico S Jerrick Reed II
Stephen F. Austin EDGE BJ Thompson
Western Kentucky DT Brodric Martin
Pittsburgh EDGE Deslin Alexandre
The most glaring detail of this list in my eyes is the number of early-round offensive tackles that the Chiefs are looking at. It’s consistent with the type of research they did at the 2023 NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis and suggests the team isn’t quite done adding at the position after signing Jawaan Taylor in free agency.
