Orlando Brown Jr. practices, Skyy Moore leaves early | KCSN Daily 8.2
Highlights, news and more from Day 6 of Chiefs training camp
Welcome to KCSN Daily where we deliver you the best Kansas City Chiefs content directly to your inbox every day.
The Chiefs hosted their second padded practice of training camp at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Missouri on Tuesday. They continued to ramp up their full-contact work as mandated by the NFL, introducing tackle periods to practice.
The team welcomed Orlando Brown Jr. back in a limited capacity for what he views as the most critical part of the team’s training camp practices. This marked his first practice session with the team since before the AFC title game last year. He participated in the team install period, individual work, 9-on-7 drills and 1-on-1 drills. After that work, he was pulled from practice for the day. This was planned as Brown continues to get acclimated after being absent from the team’s voluntary offseason workout program.
KCSN Update:

Quotable:
“I’ve missed a lot of ball up until this point. Obviously, I missed the locker room, I missed the coaches and everyone here in the building. I know how important this five-day stretch is to (Head) Coach (Andy) Reid and everyone here in KC. It just didn’t feel right sitting at home and missing out on this. This is something that I want to be a part of. I was brought here to win Super Bowls and this week is very important to our progression.” - Chiefs LT Orlando Brown Jr. on what made now the right time to rejoin the team

“Yeah well, it’s not just Frank (Clark) really. It’s the whole group. They’re trying to take me under their wing. From Frank and Chris (Jones) to Mike (Danna) and Turk (Tershawn Wharton) everybody in the group’s just coming together as one. Obviously, Frank helps me out after every practice and Chris helps me out in their own way and everyone really helps me out in their own way cause we’re trying to have the strongest group possible so we’re trying to bring everyone along.” - Chiefs rookie DE George Karlaftis on mentorship from the defensive line room
