Things really were coming up Chiefs on Sunday. Not only did they secure their AFC-leading seventh win of the season, but the rest of the AFC West lost, and so did their top competitor for the one seed in the conference — the Buffalo Bills.
All those teams have one thing in common — they loaded up on costly veterans to try and slow down the Chiefs from continuing to lead this conference. Nine games in, it all looks about the same.
The Chiefs didn’t spend much in free agency — and in fact got rid of an expensive player in Tyreek Hill. They zigged when the rest of their division (and conference rivals) zagged. They went young. They loaded up on draft picks.
Early returns have been strong for Brett Veach’s 2022 draft class. Sunday’s win against the Jacksonville Jaguars gave several rookies a chance to show what they’re capable of doing. Here’s a look at some high level moments from week 10.
