The Kansas City Chiefs are the sole remaining undefeated team in the NFL. In the AFC, every team except KC has 2+ losses. The Chiefs had the hardest schedule to start the season, and they have the easiest remaining schedule. This has been a weird year. Mahomes has more games with under 200 passing yards than games with over 300 passing yards. Twice this year, the Chiefs have lost the turnover battle.
Injuries have also taken a major toll on this team. Jaylen Watson broke his ankle in this game. JuJu Smith-Schuster pulled his hamstring, and has already been ruled out for next weeks game against the Raiders. They join Hollywood Brown, Rashee Rice, and Isiah Pacheco as major player injuries. Mike Danna is dealing with a strained pectoral muscle that has already kept him out twice. The Chiefs have been lucky to have largely avoided major injuries for the last several years. It seems that luck is catching up to them now.
Nevertheless, they stand alone atop the NFL. Undefeated.
Let’s get to the numbers.
