Undefeated. Eight and oh. This game needed overtime for the Chiefs to win it, but win it they did. This game featured four different players for the Chiefs having major injury scares, including Mahomes, Karlaftis, Wharton, and Hardman. All of them returned to the game, and all of them are celebrating yet another win on the way to a threepeat.
The Chiefs won the toss in overtime. They came out and walked down the field. 10 plays, 70 yards. Kareem Hunt had 5 of those plays, and went for 27 yard. Kelce added 26 yards on 3 catches, and Hopkins was good for 15 yards on his target. On the 10th play, Kareem Hunt rushes forward for a 2 yard touchdown, and the Chiefs have a walk-off 30-24 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Mahomes had a good day overall, but he was especially on fire on third downs. He went 11 of 13 for 126 yards, 3 touchdowns (his highest TD total of the season), and 10 first downs. That is an absolutely incredible stat line for third downs.
