Every week, the Chiefs look like they are going to lose the game, and every week, they just keep on winning. It is a new experience every time. Blocked walk-off field goal. Early snap leading to a fumble. Walk-off field goal doinked off the left upright. The Chiefs are inventing new ways to win at the last possible moment in the game.
What a ride this season has been.
12 and 1 with four games remaining. The Bills lost this past weekend to the Rams, and face the Detroit Lions next. That gives the Chiefs a two game lead on the rest of the AFC for the 1 seed and the bye week in the playoffs. A bye week is something this team desperately needs, especially with all the older players they have been bringing in due to injuries.
A week for Kelce and Chris Jones to catch their breath. A week for Mahomes to recover from all the hits he has taken this season. A week to help settle the offensive line in preparation for the playoffs. A week for Spags and Merritt to figure out how to best utilize the defensive backs they have and stem the bleeding from the Jaylen Watson injury.
