That was fun.
That game was a breeze to watch. At no point did I have any doubt we would win the game. The Chiefs came in and handled business. They dominated that game from start to finish. Punishing on defense. Efficient on offense. Some big plays, and some plays by the big boys (I see you Khalen! You may be gone, but you’re not forgotten!). Travis channeling his inner rugby player, with a lateral to Perine.
From start to finish, I enjoyed that game. No stress, no worries. This is the sort of game I really enjoy watching. It’s fun for me, the players are having fun, I get to interact with my kids a lot more because I’m not stress-watching every play. It’s great.
Let’s get to the charts, and talk about how this game went down.
As the game was winding down, one of the commentators (I believe it was Troy Aikman) made the statement, “If they’d have been just a little bit better in the red zone, this game wouldn’t even be close”, and if that doesn’t encapsulate the entirety of this season of Chiefs football, I don’t know what does. Even with massive red zone struggles (7 trips, 2 TD’s), we still doubled up the score on the Saints.
