Three keys to the game for the Chiefs against the Browns
Kansas City begins a stretch of three games in 10 days against Cleveland on Sunday. Their 3-10 record proves the Browns can be beat. Here is the recipe for the Chiefs to move to 13-1.
It was a huge week for the Kansas City Chiefs. They took care of business against a quality opponent. The Los Angeles Rams defeated the Buffalo Bills in a thriller, extending the Chiefs lead for the one seed in the AFC to two games with four to go. Rumor has it Hollywood Brown could be returning to practice this week. They may not be playing as well as you like, but they are 12-1 with wins over the Baltimore Ravens, Chargers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Denver Broncos, which are all playoff teams.
When the schedule was released last May, two things stood out. Kicking off with the Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals was one, and the other was playing three games in 10 days in weeks 15-17. It was not just three games in a short amount of time; it was the quality of the competition, too. Last year, the Cleveland Browns were a playoff team, and this year, the Houston Texans and Pittsburgh Steelers are the AFC’s three and four seeds, respectively and that journey begins Sunday.
While James Winston and the Browns are not stacking wins, they recently pulled off an upset over the 10-3 Pittsburgh Steelers and are a passionate club. Wide receiver Jerry Jeudy has hit his stride, and we all know the Chiefs have struggled in coverage lately, only being magnified by their lack of getting pressure on the quarterback. Winston is both a blessing and a curse to them right now, so you never know how this is going to shake out. Let’s dive into the three keys to taking care of business on the road in Cleveland at noon CDT.
