The latest newsletter from KCSN Sports Data Scientist, Joseph Hefner
In this weeks edition of Tools of the Trade, we’re going to explore a relatively new site: Sumer Sports. Sumer Sports was created by Thomas Dimitroff, a former GM for the Atlanta Falcons, and Eric Eager, formerly the VP of analytics at PFF, now the Carolina Panthers VP of Football Analytics.

They also have some very nice visualizations. They have a game card for every game of the season, which shows a massive amount of stats and rankings for each team in the game. It shows EPA, offensive and defensive success rates for pass and rush, EPA per drive, pass rate over expected (PROE), plus the league rankings for each of those stats. And those are just the stats on the left and right sides of the game cards.
