Training camp provides a view of Chiefs practice that no one outside the building will get a look at from the time they leave St. Joseph, Missouri. The last time we got a glimpse of the majority of the starters for the regular season was Saturday against the Lions. The majority of the 53 man roster is likely decided at this point — at least the version that includes all the players that are currently on the roster.
NFL GMs are constantly looking for ways to make their roster better from top to bottom. Some years the opportunity for improvement seem bigger than others. This year, there are spots on the 53 that could be up for grabs for players that are currently outside the building. A few key areas are unsettled, marred with injury, and lack great depth.
Two key positions on the defensive side of the ball have questions: defensive end and cornerback. Who could be available to them before the season kicks off?
