Does Mahomes throw too flat of a deep ball? Russell Wilson seems to have success on deep balls (outside of whatever this season was) and throws with a ton of arc.

It's a decent question. I don't know the answer, but to get one I would look back at the seasons where Mahomes had tons of success on the deep throws and see if anything is different. My guess is no, but I haven't watched the film. One semi-relevant side note is that his more flat deep ball likely contributes to a lack of DPI calls for the Chiefs. It's often the lofted throws that give receivers a chance to come back into a defender or the defender to make contact. However, the more flat throw increases the likely of a RAC TD if the receiver catches it in stride.

I have always thought his accuracy on deep balls was less than ideal. He has missed Hill multiple times even in the days when we tried more. I agree with Matt about hitting some throws on the sideline, especially if we can work in back shoulder throws. There is no way to stop the Chiefs offense if it uses the whole field.

That's true. The arm strength is there but the accuracy is slightly inconsistent. I think there are times when the receivers don't track the ball well either. It is often difficult to determine which it is on the broadcast. Back shoulder throws would be awesome, though I'm not sure KC currently has the ideal personnel to make that a staple of the offense. Agreed that the KC offense is unstoppable at its best and thankfully Mahomes has the arm and vision to use the whole field.
