Chiefs' winning streak vs. Broncos 'doesn't count' Thursday | KCSN Daily 10.11

As the Kansas City Chiefs’ 15-game winning streak over the Denver Broncos builds each season, the more it becomes a talking point before every game between those two squads.
But leading up to the Chiefs’ Thursday night game against Denver in Week 6, coach Andy Reid says it’s not a talking point in the locker room like it is with the media and fans.
“I don’t talk about it,” Reid said during Tuesday’s press conference. “It doesn’t matter right now, that doesn’t count for Thursday.”
The Broncos haven’t defeated the Chiefs since September 2015. Coaching regimes, quarterbacks and star players have come and gone for Denver, but the one constant over the last eight years has remained: the Broncos can’t get past Kansas City.
Despite the long streak, Reid noted that this is a whole new Broncos squad with a whole new coaching staff. So, the team may as well proceed as if there’s no streak at all.
“They’ve had some change there so this is a whole new crew,” Reid said. “Like I said, most of them have been close games so you just kind of throw the record aside and go play. That’s kind of the way the AFC West is, we all battle each other.”

‘Kermit the Frog’ Gets Frogged:
Chiefs fans collectively gasped when Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes appeared to roll his ankle during the team’s Week 5 win over the Minnesota Vikings.
Thankfully, after limping for a minute, Mahomes proceeded to play on like normal. It turns out it wasn’t an ankle roll at all — Mahomes was just “frogged” in the calf.
“It actually wasn’t my ankle,” Mahomes said during Tuesday’s presser. “I don’t know if you remember in high school when someone would frog you… he just kneed me in the side of my calf, and it just sent that shock through my leg.
“It’s fine, it’s just a bruise. Everybody thought it was my ankle. It was just the old frog right in the side of the leg there, man.”
