Thanks Craig really enjoyed your article, i think Chief fans and i guess Brett Veach got really excited about the gap scheme after seeing Kelechi Osemele open some gaps you could drive a pick up truck through, thanks again buddy !

Osemele was definitely an indicator -- and the Chiefs have gone after some OL as of late that weren't *quite* as "Andy Reid-esque" -- but to see the major overhaul in that direction this offseason definitely alerted that a change could be coming!

Thanks for the article it was great to read and watch the videos. I feel that our offense has been missing the power run game/gap run scheme when we get down to the goal line/ short yardage. I feel it will really open up our offense even more by not forcing us to use Patrick and having some faith the big guys up front can power us in if we need them to. I think CEH is going to thrive with this OLine, especially being healthy again. As a huge Mahomes fan I don't want us try and run the ball down teams throat, obviously I want to watch Patrick make magic but it's nice to know we might have the ability to do that if need be. Do you think this OLine will also help out the defense by being able to eat up some clock?

We'll see if they can. Andy is always going to be pass-first in his offense (as he should be), but I can see an increased focus on longer, time-killing drives at the end of the games while protecting a lead. Andy is notorious for keeping things under wraps and not wanting to show future opponents anything they don't need to see, so the ability to line up and win with a group of simple run concepts late in the game could be just what he's looking for.

Craig, would using more gap scheme running benefit CEH? Which scheme do you think is best for him?

Hey Keith!

CEH won't be scheme specific. He's got good vision, which leads to strong zone running ability. He's also agile and small to be able to knife through in gap schemes when things aren't perfect up front. He's going to fit in either, just get the man some blocks!
